Heated Hose

Heated Hose Products made with Teflon™

Electra-Flo is our field-tested, proven, and durable electrically heated hose at Diebolt & Company. Since 1991, Diebolt & Company has custom-designed and manufactured flexible electrically heated and freeze protection hose made with Teflon™ for specific applications. Our process utilizes a state-of-the-art proprietary heating element, high-performance insulation, and the industry’s highest-quality pressure-tested hose core. Our technical/customer service staff is very experienced in a multitude of specialized applications as well as many proven, straightforward designs. We pride ourselves on our service, timely delivery, and performance of our hoses.

Electrically Heated DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) hose

Diebolt & Company, an innovative designer and manufacturer of specialty hose products, is proud to announce our US Patent 11,352,259 electrically heated Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) hose assembly. DEF fluid freezes at 12F, which makes it unable to flow or dispense. Our revolutionary heated hose now allows dispensing to -40F without freezing. The assembly, which may include a live swivel and nozzle, has several embodiments to cover multiple applications like truck stops and remote site dispensing. Lastly, our Heated hose is economical by eliminating the need for inefficient and costly heated dispensing cabinets.

Our problem-solving DEF heated hose has also been sold to major OEM Diesel engine manufacturers for DEF freeze protection on the engine. Contact us today to learn more.

Series C – Convoluted Teflon™ Fluoropolymer and metal hose Core

ElectraFlo II Series CL high-temperature hose features a flexible Teflon™ Fluoropolymer Core, electrically heated hose for operation to 400°F (204°C). Models CM & CH hoses feature braided stainless steel cores electrically heated for operation to 625°F (329°C). All models feature good flexibility and can be operated in continuous movement conditions. Our state-of-the-art proprietary hose heater element provides optimum temperature uniformity throughout the entire heated length. High-temperature hoses come standard with thermal insulation and are available with a rugged, extruded polyurethane jacket for outdoor service or an abrasion-resistant, braided polyester sleeve for indoor use and are ideally suited to Hot Melt Adhesives and chemicals applications. All high-temperature hoses are supplied electrically and hydraulically complete, ready to use.

Electrical

Operating Voltage – any phase voltage to 480 VAC. Depending on the length, hoses may be ordered to operate on 240 or 480 VAC, three-phase. Power Density is based on the desired operating temperature, lowest ambient temperature, and hose size. Our engineering department determines the power density required for your electrically heated hose application.

Temperature

Series C electrically heated hose must be controlled (except for the self-limiting “SL” version) to maintain the desired operating temperature. A temperature hose heater sensor is installed during construction and, unless otherwise specified, will be installed three feet from the power end of the hose.
